 “It's the ordinary, utilitarian elements of life that inspire and challenge me to present them in a new and, hopefully, exciting way. I love to capture a distinct atmosphere - of mystery, whimsy, organic movement or the stillness of a frozen lake at dusk. If my photograph engages the viewer in a satisfying dialogue, I consider it a success”  

 

 

About The Artist After graduating from Kean University of NJ with a Fine Arts degree, B.J. Lloyd taught art for awhile, created the art for many album/CD covers, and opened her own public relations company. Now a full-time photographer and artist, she works in Digital Photography and Digital Art, as well as Mixed Media and Acrylics. Her work has been exhibited in the Artists’ Haven Gallery, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, the Ceres Gallery in NYC, the Upstream People Gallery, the American Juried Art Salon Show, the Museum of Computer Art in Brooklyn, NY, and Art Kudos. Awards include 2nd Place for Graphics in the Art Buzz Juried Competition, four “Special Recognition" Awards from the Upstream People Gallery Juried Exhibition, and a Body-of-Work Award from Mosaic Globe. Her work has been published in the Art Buzz 2009 Collection. B.J. Lloyd is represented by noted photographer Michael Joseph in his Artists’ Haven Gallery, Fort Lauderdale, FL. and Ovenden Contemporary Ltd., Cambridgeshire, UK.
